Summertime and the living is…

It’s the beautiful summer season. As you would expect we are well into the weddings at this time of year and we love the trends so far in 2015. We’re seeing lots of relaxed, festival style venues filled with hay bales, bunting and country fete style games for the guests entertainment.

We’ve always felt our role is to design the flowers to suit each couple and the wedding they have chosen for themselves rather than our own shop style. This means that every wedding is unique and we’re really enjoying investigating the relaxed, wild looking, seasonal, country flowers around and incorporating gorgeous scents with herbs and perfumed blooms.

So far we’re loving Peonies, Hydrangea, Astrantia, Astilbe, Nigella, Veronica, Delphinium, Mint, Rosemary, Alchemilla Mollis and Eucalyptus. Not forgetting cascades of Gypsophila! Gyp, Gyp and more Gyp!

We’re also seeing lots of natural sundries, such as wooden slices, hampers, driftwood and glass lanterns with rope-handles.
